Nike Dunk High "Syracuse" (2021) — White / Orange Blaze

The Nike Dunk High "Syracuse" is one of the most storied colorways in the Dunk's history. This 2021 release is a modern re-release of an original Dunk colorway from Nike's groundbreaking "Be True to Your School" collection of 1985. That original campaign saw Nike endorse seven of the most elite teams in the NCAA, including the University of Michigan, Kentucky, Iowa, Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John's, and Villanova. The Dunk Highs were done up in color schemes for each school, and have since become the most recognizable and coveted classic Dunk styles of all time.

Crafted from panels of white and orange blaze leather, the upper features blazing orange leather detailing on the various panels atop the white leather base, continuing onto the side Swoosh branding, the Nike detail on the nylon tongue tag, and a small pull tab at the heel. The white base is accented by an "Orange Blaze" upper with a perforated toe box, and the design is rounded out with printed insoles and a contrast sole unit. The 2021 release marked the white-and-orange colorway's return to the Dunk High for the first time since 2016.

The 2021 reissue released exclusively in women's sizing on March 10 via SNKRS and at select retailers. Nike had previously brought back the popular "Syracuse" look on the low-top version of the Dunk in 2020 to coincide with the Dunk's 35-year anniversary. Since their original release, the Dunk High has gained a cult following across the globe and become a staple for Nike in everything from lifestyle footwear to skateboarding.
