The 990v3 MiUSA Teddy Santis Scarlet is part of New Balance's Made in USA program, for which Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis serves as creative director. Released on July 28, 2022, the Scarlet colorway arrived in honor of the 990 line's 40th anniversary, joining a broader collection spanning the 990v1, 990v2, and 990v3 silhouettes.

The upper pairs a burgundy mesh base with scarlet and grey pigskin suede overlays, accented by tonal Marblehead suede details and New Balance branding. Underfoot, a dual-density ENCAP midsole — white toward the forefoot and Marblehead at the heel — delivers the long-standing cushioning the 990 line is known for, finished with a black rubber outsole.

As with all 990v3 MiUSA releases under Santis, the shoe is assembled in the United States and carries the premium materials and construction standards associated with New Balance's domestic manufacturing heritage.
