Jordan 6 Retro 'Olympic' (2024) — CT8529-164
The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Olympic' is one of the most recognizable colorways in the Jordan Brand catalog. Originally introduced for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the White/Varsity Red/Midnight Navy palette was built to represent Team USA, and this 2024 release marks only the third time the colorway has returned — following retros in 2000 and 2012, each spaced twelve years apart.
The 2024 edition stays faithful to the original construction: a white leather upper with Navy overlays, Varsity Red hits on the lace locks and Jumpman logos, perforations along the upper for breathability, and a translucent rubber outsole. The Air Jordan 6 silhouette itself — co-designed by Tinker Hatfield and debuted in 1991 — draws inspiration from the aerodynamic lines of German sports cars, a reflection of Michael Jordan's well-known passion for speed. The 'Olympic' colorway carries added cultural weight as the pair worn on-court by Jordan Brand athletes Vin Baker and Ray Allen during the Summer Games.
Timed to coincide with the 2024 Paris Olympics, this retro dropped August 3, 2024 at a retail price of $200.
