First introduced in 1990 and designed by Tinker Hatfield, the AJ5 was the first Air Jordan silhouette to incorporate reflective materials, a legacy this release directly honors with a 3M reflective coating applied across the entire upper.

The White leather upper is treated to that signature 3M finish and features translucent quarter-panel netting, a pink embroidered "23" on the lateral heel, and Medium Soft Pink accents on the shark-tooth midsole spikes, textile collar lining, and Jumpman logo on the silver reflective tongue. Nike Air branding on the back heel, a Black midsole with visible Air cushioning, and an icy translucent rubber outsole revealing the Jumpman logo complete the build — all faithful to Hatfield's original 1990 blueprint.
