The Air Jordan 4 Retro "White Thunder" is a 2024 release built around the color-blocking DNA of the original 2006 AJ4 "Thunder." Drawing inspiration from both the "Thunder" and "Red Thunder" iterations, this edition swaps the classic tour yellow and red accent hits for clean white, arriving in an all-black nubuck upper with white detailing on the Jumpman logos, midsole, plastic wings, and the underlay of the mesh netting. The result is a near-monochromatic, versatile silhouette that nods to Jordan Brand's Heritage Twist approach of reinterpreting iconic colorways for a contemporary audience.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and originally debuted in 1989, the Air Jordan 4 introduced signature elements that remain on this retro: side mesh paneling, plastic support wings, and a visible Air unit in the heel. The "White Thunder" retains all of those hallmarks while the jet-black nubuck construction and restrained white contrast give it a refined, wear-with-anything aesthetic.
