Jordan 4 Retro Fire Red (2020) — DC7770-160
The Air Jordan 4 "Fire Red" is one of the four original colorways Tinker Hatfield created for the silhouette when it debuted in February 1989. The 2020 retro — style code DC7770-160 — is widely regarded as the most faithful re-release of this colorway since the OG, as it reinstated the original "Nike Air" heel branding that prior retros had replaced with the Jumpman logo. It released on November 28, 2020, at a retail price of $200.
The upper is built from white leather and features the AJ4's signature over-molded mesh side panels, black support wings on the lace cage, and a black heel tab stamped with "Nike Air" in Fire Red. Fire Red accents carry through the eyelet clips, inner lining, tongue branding, and portions of the midsole, while a visible Air unit sits in the heel — a detail that defined the silhouette's identity from its very first release. The outsole combines red, white, and grey rubber.
Beyond the colorway, the Fire Red holds a specific place in Jordan history: it was the pair Michael Jordan wore on court during the early stretch of the 1989–90 NBA season, and the Air Jordan 4 itself was the first Jordan model to receive a global release and the first to carry the "Flight" script logo on the tongue.
