Released on June 19, 2026, the First Partner Illustration Collection — Series 2 is the middle chapter of a three-part product line created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon TCG. Where Series 1 spotlighted Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola, Series 2 turns the focus to the beloved starter Pokémon of Johto, Unova, and Galar — nine starters in total across three generations, each rendered in the soft, painterly Illustration Rare style that has become one of the most sought-after art formats in the modern hobby.

A defining design feature of the collection is that each region's three starter cards — Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile for Johto; Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott for Unova; Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble for Galar — form a continuous panoramic scene when placed side by side, with backgrounds drawn from iconic locations and items tied to each region's games. Each collection contains one special promo booster pack with three of the nine Illustration Rare promos (all from the same region), distributed at random, along with two standard Pokémon TCG booster packs and a themed sticker sheet.
