The Air Max 95 "Greedy" concept originated in 2015 for the silhouette's 20th anniversary — a "What The"-style mashup that pulled from four of the model's most iconic original colorways: Neon, Grape, Solar Red, and Bright Mandarin. Each side of the shoe wore a different palette, making it one of the most visually chaotic and collector-coveted non-OG AM95 releases ever produced. The 2026 Premium edition marks the concept's return to its original Black/Volt-Team Orange color blocking, now built on enlarged Big Bubble Air units underfoot — the most significant tooling update from the original.

Designed by Sergio Lozano and introduced in 1995, the Air Max 95's layered upper was inspired by human anatomy, mirroring the muscular structure of the spine through graduated panels of mesh, suede, and synthetic overlays. Visible Air units in the forefoot — a first for Nike at the time — remain central to the silhouette's identity. The 2026 Greedy preserves that original construction while the mismatched lateral and medial panels reference the model's storied archive of colorways, with Volt accents tracing back to the shoe's 1995 "Neon" debut.
