The Air Foamposite One "Big Bang" traces its roots to a graphic that was first sampled in 2012 — a nebula-printed design pulled from the archives and finally brought to retail during 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend as the unofficial sequel to the legendary "Galaxy" Foamposite. The GS (Grade School) iteration, DA4159-800, followed in November 2020, carrying the same celestial colorway in youth sizing.

The molded Foamposite shell features a multi-colored galaxy print with sprawling nebulas and star formations across the entire upper, accented by black trim and orange detailing. Underfoot, a polyurethane midsole houses a full-length Zoom Air unit integrated into the Foamposite sole, while a rubber outsole completes the build. The silhouette itself is the classic Penny Hardaway basketball shoe, originally designed in 1997, making the "Big Bang" colorway a piece of both sneaker design history and outer-space storytelling.
