The Air Jordan 12 Retro Taxi Flip — also known as the "Red Taxi" — is a 2024 riff on the original 1996 "Taxi" colorway designed by Tinker Hatfield. The AJ12 holds a notable place in Jordan Brand history as the first silhouette in Michael Jordan's signature line to incorporate Zoom Air cushioning. This iteration keeps the classic white-and-black foundation while introducing Gym Red accents throughout, setting it apart from a straight retro.

The upper is built from tumbled white leather with radiating stitched lines across the side panels. A lizard-textured black mudguard wraps the lower perimeter, and a midfoot TPU overlay embossed with the Jumpman logo adds structure in Gym Red. Matching Gym Red hits appear on the tongue Jumpman, the heel's "23" branding, and the rubber outsole. The heel pull tab carries gray JORDAN lettering alongside a Gym Red Jumpman.

Underfoot, a lightweight Phylon midsole houses full-length Zoom Air cushioning for responsiveness, reinforced by a carbon fiber spring plate through the midfoot for stability and propulsion.
